Over-Priced Autoresponder and Email Marketing Providers

Thursday, July 9, 2015
How many music-lovers do you think still own a cassette or record player? Probably none in 2014. Let's say in this example that you are a music lover that does. Stay with me on this, okay; vital information for anyone who has an online business or who is interested in starting one. Now, in order to listen to your music you would obviously need cassettes or records, correct? Let's just say that a cassette is $10 and a record is $20. At this point you may be asking yourself: "What on earth is this guy talking about? No one even uses cassette or record players anymore!" That's my point exactly!
Now, how many marketers (Affiliate, Network, etc.) do you think still use over-priced email marketing providers in conjunction with their business? In this example, similar to the previous one, let's say that you fall into this category of marketers. However, that's not completely your fault because you most likely don't know of any other options. Still with me? Okay, good. Let's keep it moving. When I say over-priced email marketing, I mean email marketing providers that limit you to how you can promote your business but charge you as if it's the latest and greatest. So what actions should you take to overcome this? You can start by using a complete, all-in-one marketing platform. A platform that gives so much more for so much less! I stated earlier that it's not completely your fault if you're still using over-priced email marketing providers in conjunction with your business. However, now that you've been informed, and if you still choose to continue to overpay and receive less, well, that's all on you. The obvious question here would be, why?
In closing, I would like to share with you some information that led me to write this article. There are email marketing providers that I've come across that offer about 500 subscribers for around $20 each month. Keep in mind that as your email subscribers increase, so does the amount of money you have to pay to keep them. Now, please allow me to ask a few very interesting questions: If you choose to pay $20 each month for 500 email subscribers, how much would you expect to pay for an unlimited amount of email subscribers? Are your autoresponder campaigns fully customizeable? Does your email marketing provider allow you the freedom to create unlimited combinations of funnels and landing pages? Get the answers and more than you would ever expect by mentioning this article when you contact me by email.
Thank you for your time in reading my article.
Best,
Lorenzo

Does Your Local Business Need an Autoresponder?

Thursday, July 9, 2015
If you own a local brick and mortar business, do you know what the most important piece of information is from your customer? Their email address. Why? In the old days it was their phone number. But with caller id and everyone screening calls, communicating via a personal phone for business purposes has become almost obsolete. Think about it. You use your cell phone mostly for your friends and family, right?
So if the email address is the most important piece of information, how do I communicate with my customer? You use an autoresponder. What is an autoresponder? It's simply a tool loaded with pre-built messages in order to keep your business, message, promotion, or whatever in front of your customer via email. All you have to do is get the customer to opt-in to your offer. Or, in layman's terms, agree to give you their email address.
How do you collect email addresses, you ask? Well, for the traditional brick and mortar business, you simply ask for it. In the online or internet world, you provide some offer or promotion in exchange for the email address.
Why is collecting email addresses important? Think about it again. How do you communicate? The majority of today's business world communicates via email. If you don't collect your customers email address, rest assured your competition probably is. You see, statistics show that if you keep your company's name, offer, or promotion in front of your customer at least on a weekly basis, your sales should increase approximately 20% - 30%. After all, if that customer purchased from you in the past, with good product and service, they will most likely purchase from you again. So keep your message in front of them.
How do I set up an autoresponder? Its very simple. Most autoresponders today come complete with full video tutorials on how to get setup. With a little knowledge, you can customize your offers and messages to you local market. These messages can be set to be sent out at any given date and time. So while your busy taking care of your customers needs, your autoresponder handles your communication and messages via email.
How expensive is an autoresponder? It varies depending on the number of email addresses, but usually starts around $15 per month. As your local business grows, your online business will grow proportionately.
There are several reputable autoresponder companies today that provide a quality service. (Aweber, MailChimp, ConstantContact, GetResponse, GVO, etc.) Most come with excellent support and training to meet your companies needs.
In today's competitive market, some autoresponder companies are combining certain online communication tools your business may need in order to make your business run smoother. For example, your autoresponder may also provides video email services to your customer in order to send a video message of your offer. In addition, some companies also provide online conferencing (in lieu of GoToMeeting) in addition to the traditional autoresponder messaging.
If you make a concentrated effort to collect your customers email address and follow-up with pre-loaded messages to those customers, your business will flourish.

Autoresponders - Why Your Brick and Mortar Business Needs One

Thursday, July 9, 2015
I was visiting a car dealership recently and one thing jumped out at me. No, not the salesman when I got out of the car in the parking lot. I noticed that all the salespeople, managers, and even the administrative staff had on name tags. That's a great customer service technique. Already knowing that persons name before you engage in any conversation is comforting.
So that got me to thinking. What if they already knew my first name before I got to the lot?
Have you ever been to a hair salon where everyone knows your first name? We all have. How about your local pub, bar or brewery? Does the famous sitcom "Cheers" come to mind? Everyone wants to go where everyone knows your name.
So, how can a brick and mortar business of any kind that deals with the public capture your name before you get to the lot? Assuming you have a business website (if not we have got to talk, seriously) because most people these days shop online, we have to provide some type of 'irresistible offer' to the potential customer in exchange for their name and email address. The autoresponder is simply a tool we use for follow-up to that email address with a pre-written message delivered at a given date and time.
Here's how it works. Let's go back to my car dealership shopping experience. It's safe to assume that 70-90% of car shoppers have visited your website before they arrive. When first visiting your website, we provide that 'irresistible offer' in the form of some type of giveaway, coupon, trial offer, etc. in exchange for that name and email address. (For potential car buyers, free maintenance giveaways work really well, in my opinion. If my oil changes are free for life, or for a year or so, that eases my mind as far as taking car of what I'm going to buy.)
You see, in the offline brick & mortar world, names are of utmost importance. However, in the online internet world, email addresses are of utmost importance. So, make it a habit on your business website to collect both name and email address.
Another important reason for collecting the email address is follow-up. The experts say that most people visit or entertain online offers seven (7) times before they make a purchase. Wow! If that's true, then the email address is priceless.
Back to the car dealership example for a moment. Have you ever been to a car lot, gave the salesperson your name, phone number and email address, took a test drive, and didn't buy at that time? Well, if that is you, you can bet that salesperson will follow-up with you. If not, he will probably be fired. Follow-up is the golden ticket that will propel your business.
Hopefully, you can see why an autoresponder with valid email addresses are so important.
Here's one final example of my car buying experience. I went online to 3 different dealerships to find the best deal possible. I entered my name, phone number and email address at all 3 websites. Well, one particular dealership was using the autoresponder technique for immediate follow-up and sent me a 10% off final sales price coupon and free maintenance for life. Guess where I went to buy that car? You got it. That autoresponder closed the deal.
Make sure your business is taking advantage of autoresponder technology and collect that email address. It's priceless.

5 Amazing Tips On Using An Autoresponder For Online Success

Thursday, July 9, 2015
An autoresponder is a program which automatically sends an email when a specific piece of information or action is completed.
For example, if you purchase something on eBay an email is sent immediately to your email account informing you that payment has been received and later, when the item has been dispatched.
Within the realms of internet marketing and affiliate marketing, an autoresponder can be a very powerful tool.
There are various providers of autoresponder however the most popular tends to be Aweber, which has also been around for years.
Services provided by autoresponders are billed monthly and have greatly advanced in respect of user-friendly information, advice and guidance in their use.
Your autoresponder account has to be managed much like your website or blog for example, you need to link the form on your website, used to capture email addresses, to your account and set up a program to inform the system when to send emails to those visitors whose email addresses you capture, as detailed below.
By taking the following steps you can capture and use email addresses to secure a very profitable sale within your online business.
1. Create a website or blog - When you create a website or blog it is always for a specific reason. It could be to provide information to people interested in your market niche, or to sell products related to that niche, or to advertise affiliate products for sale, and so on.
2. Link your autoresponder - Once your site or blog is created, you link the account to your site by creating a form, choosing what information you would like to capture (first name, surname, email address) and place the coding for this form onto your site.
2. Add quality content - You then need to fill your website or blog with interesting and valuable information, making it worthwhile for a visitor to read through and click on various parts.
3. Request email information in return for offers - By inserting the form on your website or blog, you can request a visitor provides their email address in return for some information, a product, report and similar items.
4. Repeat the offers - Once the email address is captured, you can then email your visitor with relevant information on further offers, hopefully securing sales.
5. Build your list - By continuing to add posts to your blog and inform you visitors of the new blog, readers will return to your site again to receive more detail with the potential of purchasing related products from you.

Autoresponder Review: GVO/PureLeverage Vs Aweber

Thursday, July 9, 2015
As far as the best autoresponders go, both GVO/Pureleverage and Aweber are right up there, on top of the business. Internet marketers love both GVO and Aweber, but which of the two do they like best?
Here, we compare autoresponder GVO/Pureleverage with Aweber, and let you decide which of the two products suits your requirements best. We try to be as objective as possible and do justice to both GVO and Aweber.
How Autoresponder GVO/Pureleverage Compares with Aweber on Email Delivery
Autoresponder GVO/Pureleverage has an excellent e-mail delivery rate, which has been ranked by many internet marketers to be the best out there in the market. But to be fair, Aweber has an excellent e-mail delivery rate as well. So, as far as e-mail delivery is concerned, we are very happy with the performance of both autoresponders, you couldn't go wrong with either of them.
How Autoresponder GVO/Pureleverage Compares with Aweber on Pricing
GVO/Pureleverage is head and shoulders above all its competitors in the market when it comes to pricing, as you can see clearly from the pricing chart given here. GVO costs just $10 per month for 5000 subscribers and $15 for 10,000. Aweber is rather expensive - $49 per month for 5000 subscribers and $69 per month for 10,000 subscribers. So we have a clear, undisputed winner here.
How Autoresponder GVO/Pureleverage Compares with Aweber on the Affiliate Program
One of the great best features of both GVO and Aweber is their referral program. Both have excellent referral programs, where they pay you a commission for referring their products to others. Where the two differ is on the amount of commission offered. Aweber pays its users 30% commission for each referral, which is not bad at all.
GVO pays a commission for each referral, provided the person referred by you holds on to their GVO account even after the expiry of the trial period.
This is where it gets interesting, because GVO pays $100 extra as bonus for every 5 new signups you can muster in a week and for 25 referrals in a month, GVO pays 300% in commissions.
It's very easy to make $500 per month from the GVO referral program provided you have, say, a hundred or so members in your downline. So money making opportunities are far better with autoresponder GVO/Pureleverage than with Aweber.
How Autoresponder GVO/Pureleverage Compares with Aweber on Design and Dashboard.
Aweber has a much better design and looks great as well. But we felt that GVO's interface was more user friendly and we found the navigation on GVO to be much simpler as well. Aweber is a victim of its own design sophistication here; as there are far too many options and drop-down menus to navigate before you finally get what you're really interested in. Autoresponder GVO/Pureleverage has a much simpler, easy-to-use design and dashboard.
How Autoresponder GVO/Pureleverage Compares with Aweber on Functionality
There is a good reason why Aweber is so much more expensive than autoresponder GVO/Pureleverage - it just has far too many options, over 80% of which are completely unnecessary, to be honest.
Email marketers don't require their autoresponders to have options such as Survey Creation, which they hardly ever use. They just need one that is reliable and fast - which is what you get with autoresponder GVO/Pureleverage. As we discussed earlier, GVO has the best e-mail delivery rate in the market.
But what we liked about both GVO and Aweber is the option that allows you to import and export your e-mail marketing campaigns with just a click or two, which makes big e-mail marketing campaigns so much easier to handle. At this, both GVO and Aweber are far better than the rest of the competition.
Conclusion
Both autoresponder GVO/Pureleverage and Aweber are similar in terms of performance. GVO has a distinct advantage in terms of affordability, simplicity and ease-of-use. Plus, GVO's affiliate program helps you make more money.

5 Simple Steps To Set Up Your Autoresponder

Thursday, July 9, 2015
What is an autoresponder?
An autoresponder is a program which provides the ability to send automatic responses to requests by visitors to your website to subscribe or sign up for regular newsletters or emails, reports and advice.
This then allows you to send out regular emails to subscribers at regular intervals or when you wish to do so.
1. Choose and register with your autoresponder provider - there are several companies providing this service and the one I have used for many years is Aweber. There is also MailChimp, iContact, ConstantContact and others you may choose from. The pricing of each provider is virtually the same and is charged per month.
2. Create a list - depending on your reason, you can create several lists which collect the contact details of your visitors or subscribers for different reasons. Naming each list makes it easier for you to identify and differentiate between each one.
3. Write your "Welcome" email - the first email you create will welcome your subscriber and provide an introduction to what you offer as well as informing the member of your objective and other important information including the ability to unsubscribe at any time. Most bloggers or website owners simply write how they talk as visitors tend to make an association with blogs and websites due to similarities in thoughts, beliefs and understanding. This association encourages participation, regular visits and feedback or comments, raising the profile of the business. It can also encourage word of mouth referrals.
4. Create follow-up emails - your next step is to create further emails for your members and set the specific timescale you would like them sent to your list, ranging from every day in the first week to twice weekly to weekly and so on. This ensures your members get a regular reminder of you, your website and services and must inform, amuse, interest and remain enticing to your readers in order to encourage repeat visiting to your website, blog or purchasing of your products and services.
5. Promote your products - by using your list you can raise awareness of your own or affiliate products by providing invaluable information, teaching skills and offering for sale eBooks, tutorials, audio or video courses and so on. this can be done by including links to the marketplace advertising your products or to your website or blog, increasing traffic and encouraging sales.

Email Autoresponder Review: GVO/Pureleverage V Infusionsoft

Thursday, July 9, 2015
Should you go for the GVO autoresponder or get the Infusionsoft autorespondor instead? In this autoresponder review, we discuss both products as objectively as possible.
GVO autoresponder has made its mark in the industry already as perhaps the most cost-effective email marketing tool out there. Email marketers love this product because of various reasons, which are discussed in this autoresponder review.
Infusionsoft is a comprehensive sales and marketing software for small businesses and is much more than just an autoresponder. It is also a CRM software in addition to being an all-in-in email marketing tool. We are only concerned with the Infusionsoft autoresponder here in this autoresponder review, and that will be our focus.
Email Deliverability
Email deliverability is perhaps the most important thing you would expect from an autoresponder. So what does the term mean? Just that the emails sent by your autoresponder are delivered to the subscriber's inbox, and don't get banished to the Spam folder. Many autoresponders have a horrible email deliverability, which really defeats the purpose of buying them. Infusionsoft autoresponder has a very good email deliverability. And GVO autoresponder probably has the best email deliverability in the business - it's that good, and that's why internet marketers love it so much.
Pricing
If there is one thing that is instantly noticeable about Infusionsoft autoresponder, it's that it is a very expensive product. Its basic plan starts at $200/month, and holds 2500 contacts. But, to get all the features, you will have to get the $300/month plan. That's not it - you will have to pay a setup fee of $2000 to get started!
And GVO autoresponder? Are we really making a comparison here? Well, GVO has two plans, one costs you $10/month and holds 5,000 contacts, and the other costs $15/month and holds 10,000 contacts.
We have a clear winner here!
Features
As said earlier, Infusionsoft is much more than just an autoresponder - it is a comprehensive small business package. It can help you take your business on an autopilot, take personalization to a whole new level, accelerate or decelerate your emails and more.
GVO autoresponder does not offer as many features, and it cannot, considering it costs so much lesser than what Infusionsoft does. But it does have some great features such GVOConference, which helps you host your own webinars, the Easy Video Producer, using which you can host videos.
Ease of Use
GVO autoresponder has a simple, easy and highly intuitive interface. It's easy to learn and can be used by just about anyone. It takes less than 30 minutes to understand, and you will get started in no time at all.
In comparison, Infusionsoft autoresponder involves a steep learning curve. It's hard to really come to grips with it if you are not comfortable with technology. You need a lot of patience and hard work to pick up the basics of using Infusionsoft.
Most people don't even make the effort to learn - they just hire techies from India or Philippines on freelance websites such as oDesk or Elance to manage their Infusionsoft account for them. This only adds to the expense on Infusionsoft. Clearly, Infusionsoft has great features, but it's not for everyone.
Affiliate Program
GVO autoresponder has a terrific affiliate program where you can make a lot of money. GVO offers $100 for every 5 members you register in a week. For 25 referrals in a month, you can earn commissions of up to 300% on GVO, which is as high as it gets. It's possible to make $2000/month, just from GVO commissions. There is no entry fee to be paid to be included in the GVO affiliate program.
Infusionsoft's affiliate program starts with a distinct disadvantage. You need to pay an entry fee of $500 just to get approved for it! Also, to remain in the program, you should make at least 10 sales per year. But the commissions are huge - you can earn $1500 per sale.

The Bottom Line
GVO autoresponder and Infusionsoft autoresponder are both completely different products. GVO is a cost-effective email marketing tool for the average email marketer, while Infusionsoft is a pricey all-in-one marketing and CRM solution for a small business. It's not fair to compare the two, as both have their own target audience. Clearly, if you are a young, up and coming internet marketer, you will prefer GVO to Infusionsoft. Frankly, most people cannot afford Infusionsoft.

What Is Drip Marketing?

Thursday, July 9, 2015
To understand drip marketing, it is necessary to first understand the function of an autoresponder. An autoresponder provides an automated way to send emails to current and potential customers. That brings up the question, how did these people get on the list originally? How did they establish a relationship with the company, whether online or offline, where the company now has their email address?
Generally, there are two ways people become a part of an email list. Either they have already bought something from a company, and through the process of the sale, their email address was captured and kept for future mailings, or they have signed up for a free gift of some sort and thus have willingly given the email address to the company. For example, often you will see an offer of a free eBook on a particular topic in exchange for a name and email address.
Once the customer is signed up within the autoresponder system, the "drip" campaign or drip marketing goes into effect. The customer will receive periodic emails, all prewritten, and all structured in a certain logical order. These emails will keep the company, product, or service in front of the customer for as long as the customer remains on the mailing list. At the bottom of each email, there should be an unsubscribe link, so the customer can remove himself from the email list at any time.
However, if a good drip marketing campaign has been set up, where the customer is receiving good information in a timely manner, and is not being bombarded with sales pitches, the customer will likely remain on the list. The problem with a drip campaign is when it degenerates into one sales pitch after another. While an occasional offering of a product or service you think the customer would like is acceptable (after all, he signed up with you for a reason, he was interested in the topic) it is not acceptable to bombard him with sales pitches daily. As the saying goes, "it gets old" or it might even be considered "autoresponder madness". Too much of anything, including sales pitches, is too much.
However, if the thought of service to the customer is kept in mind, if the thought of providing real value to the customer is kept in mind, it should not be difficult to craft a series of emails around a certain topic or niche that would provide value to the customer. The value of sending out emails every other day or so with valuable information is that a relationship of trust is created, and we are more likely to buy from someone we trust. Then, because of that relationship of trust, when you do offer something the customer might likely need or want, there is a greater potential of a sale. Done correctly, a drip marketing campaign can provide good value to both the customer and business.

What to Do Once You Get Your Email Auto-Responder Setup

Thursday, July 9, 2015
Well, if you read my last article about email auto-responders you should be signed up, or at least thinking of signing up for an email marketing program like Aweber. So, the question should be what do you do now? Obviously, you want to get people to sign up for your email newsletter and start to make some money right? But before the money comes rolling in you need to create a sign up form and find a high traffic area that will convert that form into email subscribers and ultimately into more CASH in YOUR pocket. Ideally, you will already have your own internet marketing blog, affiliate review website, YouTube channel, Facebook page, or some other medium to display your sign up form for your email newsletter. Remember, as everyone in the internet and affiliate marketing industry reiterates constantly, "the money is in the list". Remember it. Learn it. Live it. Love it.
Once you have found the ideal place for your online marketing email list, then you can move forward to creating an attractive looking sign up form through your auto-responder provider, or wherever you manage that form. But don't spend too much time trying to make your sign up form look perfect in every way and agonizing over every exacting detail to the point that it drives you nuts. No one needs to go crazy over a sign up form. The real thing that is going to get people to sign up for your list is what I am going to tell you next.
You need to give people some sort of incentive to sign up for your list, or why would they bother? They wouldn't. So that is exactly why you need to create some sort of free bonus offer that you can give to everyone that signs up to your email list. This way, people get excited about giving you their information because they are going to get something of value for free. And when I say something of value. I mean something of value. Do not just give away some free bonus pdf eBook that is a recipe for hot dogs. You want to give your current, or possible future customers something of real actual value that will actually help them in some way. It could teach them something that they did not previously know about the world of internet marketing or whatever niche you are promoting. While it does need to be of value, do not give away the farm for free. You want to give something valuable, but not too valuable because you want them to come back wanting more information and products from you. That is how you build a solid customer relationship.
